Success has many friends while failure is an orphan, so says an adage. It was a celebration galore at the Gwarinpa office of International Craniofacial Academy (ICA) on 27th Nov, 2020. The result of the just concluded MDCN qualifying examination that took place at University College Hospital, Ibadan had just been released and all the 5 candidates presented by the centre passed the exam.
Muhammed Sagir Zainab, Kulloma Fatima, Abba Kakudi Maryam, Alayande Maryam Temitope and Abdulrahman Fatima enrolled at the centre and went through the preparatory coaching class and subsequently enrolled for the examination. According to Dr Kulloma Fatima, “ICA has definitely groomed my confidence and taught me how to be specific with my response which was of a tremendous assistance during the oral examination; ICA is indeed a blessing”
International Craniofacial Academy (ICA) is an institution established and licensed by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, to carry out training in medical field. The institute boasts of erudite scholars of International pedigree led by Dr. Seidu A. Bello (FWACS, FMCDS, AOCMF), a consultant maxillofacial surgeon.
It is customary that students who attended foreign universities undergo qualifying examination before they are allowed to practice in Nigeria. In the just concluded examination, 30 foreign trained dentists were successful out of a total of 43 doctors that participated in the examination.
The next batch of training will run between January to march, 2021 in preparation for the next examination that will come up April, 2021.
