ICA RECORDS 60% SUCCESS RATE FOR THE FIRST SET OF MDCN QUALIFYING EXAMINATION.

International Craniofacial Academy (ICA) is an institution established and licensed by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, to carry out training in the medical field. The institute boasts of erudite scholars of International pedigree led by Dr. Seidu A. Bello (FWACS, FMCDS, AOCMF), a consultant maxillofacial surgeon.

It is customary, that students who attended foreign universities undergo qualifying examination before they are allowed to practice in Nigeria. In the just concluded examination that took place at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, Nigeria, fifteen (15) students sat for it nationwide.

ICA carried out coaching classes and clinical training that ran between Jan to April, 2019 at the Gwarinpa training center and five (5) students out of 15 that sat for the national exams attended the coaching classes. Five students passed the exams nationwide and three (3) of them are from ICA, translating to 60% success rate.

This effort has opened up a new vista in the history of medical education in Nigeria, where a private institution would coach medical students for the qualifying examination.

With this record, the institute expects more students in the next coaching classes and intend to sustain the trajectory of high standard, aiming at 100% success rate.
