The curriculum for this training was developed following several years of interaction with foreign trained dental students who were required to write medical qualifying examinations in Nigeria.

The main focus of the training is to breach the gap between the curriculum training that exists between Nigeria and other foreign countries, thereby making it easy for students to pass the qualifying examination. In addition to general dental training, curriculum in Nigeria has a significant content of maxillofacial surgery as opposed to the foreign trained counterparts. Some schools abroad are limited in clinical exposure of students.

The main focus of the training is to coach students on these deficiencies to make them better doctors capable of facing all the challenges of medical and dental practice in Nigeria, in addition to passing their qualifying examinations.

The training will be in 2 parts:

  1. Didactic lessons and (b) Clinical Training.

International Craniofacial Academy (ICA) makes use of 2 facilities, QH Specialist Dental Clinics and Research Centre as well as Cleft & Facial deformity Foundation (CFDF). The 2 facilities provide the requisite clinical exposure expected of a dental student.

           We welcome our students.
